Ziyad lives with his mother and brother in a rural community in Ethiopia where the population relies primarily on farming and agriculture. Ziyad’s mother is visually impaired and has also struggled with other health issues. Ziyad recently lost his sponsorship. He had a late start in school – he is in grade 2.
