Our Impact

Our Onward strategic plan

We are passionate about creating communities where everybody belongs. But how do we know what’s working and what’s not? Together with people supported, families, and employees, we decided on four areas of focus where we can measure success toward our outcomes to create our 2019-2025 Strategic Plan, called Onward.

Based on what we have heard from you, here are the four outcomes that will guide our work during these five years.

People experience our core values

People experience our core values

We love our core values! We think you will too. They show how important it is to value, celebrate, and respect people. We want everybody to experience them. That’s why we’re working on freeing up leaders to have more time to make sure our core values are known and experienced in every situation.

People direct their own services

Valuing people means respecting people’s choices about their lives. You should be able to choose the services you need and tell us how you’d like to receive them. We want to make sure there are meaningful options to choose from, ways to fund these services, the right people to help you navigate these options, and ways to have your voice heard!

People experience growth and development

What gives your life meaning? These activities, relationships, and opportunities to learn are all part of growth and development. We want to hear about people’s goals and plans for the future, what people care about, and how we can help them grow in those areas. Our mission throughout this journey is that you achieve your goals and that you experience encouragement, satisfaction, meaning, and purpose.

People experience communities of belonging

People experience communities of belonging

Communities are at their best when everybody belongs and contributes. Schools, faith communities, workplaces, and community groups are not whole without people with disabilities. Helping you have access to your community means sharing your gifts and building relationships with the people around you! We commit to sharing stories of belonging and to helping our society become a more accessible and welcoming place.

Our annual report

We hope you are inspired as you read about the impact of our work and the stories of people with disabilities. Every number represents a person who found services, employment or connection thanks to the families, partners, funders, donors, employees, and people supported who make this impact possible.
