Pray for Haiti
A March 2025 report from the United Nations calls the rapidly deteriorating situation in Haiti a “catastrophe.” Heavily armed gangs are expanding their complete control of Haiti’s capital, Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas, including Cité Soleil, Delmas, and other places where Karis Disabilities Services has worked with local pastors and churches for years.
The current situation changes day by day. After a massacre in Cité Soleil in December 2024, most children we sponsor, their families, and teachers safely fled the area. The violence is spreading closer to one school in Delmas, a historically peaceful area.

Your Impact in Haiti
Our partnership with Haitian United Brethren Churches is helping sustain families and schools during these difficult times. Our local volunteers, mostly the pastors, are in the communities and checking in on families and offering school when it is safe to do so. We continue to provide support to 262 sponsored children.
We have also been supporting two of the largest schools in providing nutrition and Bible study programs throughout the year. More than 200 children each week receive nutrition support and hear God’s work.
What You Can Do
Michel, our in-country partner, writes: “I would like to thank you for all your prayers throughout the year. It’s been a tough year, we were bombarded by so many unprecedented situations but we have been able to make our way through it all because God has always been and will always be our light and guidance.
Your prayers for us have been so good in so many ways. Prayers do things that are beyond our expectations, God uses prayers to bring changes everywhere, even as small as it can be.
We want to pray for you... may your work continue to bless others in ways that are beyond words. Thank you.”

Please continue to pray for Haiti. We are so incredibly grateful that we are able to do the work of sustaining people through this crisis, but it has been almost impossible. We long for restoration and peace and the opportunity to do more of the community development work that we feel called to do.
You can also donate to Haiti, to help fund our nutrition and Bible study programs, and to provide learning for students when it is safe to do so.
Thank you for your ongoing prayers and generosity.
