Miriam lives with her grandparents and brother in a neighbourhood in the capital city of Managua. Miriam's neighbourhood is known for its extreme poverty, drug production, and prostitution. Children are at risk of becoming involved in these activities if they lack education and better alternatives. Miriam is in preschool. She has had some serious health issues related to asthma/pnuemonia. Your support would assist with tuition, nutrition, supplies and medical assistance as needed. It will also help strengthen inclusive programs in her community. Inclusive youth programs run by the local church leadership are offered weekly. She, along with children of all abilities, are welcomed and encouraged to participate.
