Jackeline lives with her grandparents in a indigenous Mayan, jungle community with her family. Her mother died in a car accident recently and her father sustained serious injuries. Her community is very remote and does not offer access to electricity or infrastructure for water and sewage. Health care is difficult to access. Recently an integrated, bilingual preschool was built and offers education for children with and without disabilities incorporating Spanish and the local Mayan dialect.
