Brandon lives in an indigenous Mayan, jungle community with his parents and two siblings. His community is very remote and does not offer access to electricity or infrastructure for water and sewage. Health care is difficult to access. Through sponsorship and other development projects in the area - a new, integrated preschool has been built that offers bilingual education for children with and without disabilities alike. Brandon has a learning disability and recently lost his sponsorship after a short time. With sponsorship, he is able to attend this preschool and receive additional learning assistance, as needed.
